Please note: Each e-cargobike is assigned to a home station, which is indicated on the box. They may only be returned to this station.
REGISTRATION
Registration is free of charge. In order to verify your account, a €1 deposit is required and will become rental credit to use later on.
RENTAL
Simply scan the QR Code on the bike with the nextbike app and the FrameLock will open automatically.
PAUSE RIDE
Pause your ride without ending the rental. Simply pause your ride in the app and close the lock. The rental stays active during the pause and will be charged as usual.
RETURN
Return your bike at an official Bergisches e-bike station. Push it in the dock for recharging (if available) and close the lock by pressing down the lever. If you return your bike outside of a station, a service fee of at least 20 € will be charged.

Our tariffs
Up to four bikes can be rented at the same time on one account. The monthly/annual subscriptions and special conditions usually only apply to the first bike. Rentals between 5pm and 8am the following day are charged at a flat rate of €3 (for VRS customers €2 only).
VRS-Chipcard owners enjoy concessions with Bergisches e-Bike, RVK e-Bike, KVB-Rad Cologne, wupsiRad Leverkusen and nextbike Bonn (except for SchülerTickets). The accounts can be linked by choosing VRS as a partner in your customer account. For verification, provide your VRS chipcard customer number without special characters (add a 0 at the beginning if your number has 12 digits).
Basic tariff
2 € / 30 min
If you have not booked another tariff, you will be charged at the basic rate. The maximum daily charge is 18 €/24 h.
Monthly subscription
15 € / month
The first 30 minutes of each rental are included. Afterwards, each additional half hour will be charged at 2 € (max. 18 €/24 h).
Annual subscription
60 € / year
The first 30 minutes of each rental are included. Afterwards, each additional half hour will be charged at 2 € (max. 18 €/24 h).
Basic tariff
3 €/30 min
The maximum daily charge is 27 €/24 h.
VRS tariff
0 € / 30 min
The first 30 minutes are free of charge. Every additional 30 minutes cost 1 €. The maximum daily charge is 12 €/24 h per rental.
VRS tariff
1.50 € / 30 min
The maximum daily charge is 18 €/24 h per rental.
