Information about the service fee at Bergisches e-Bike

Incurring fee in the amount of €20

You have returned the e-bike or e-cargobike improperly away from an official station of Bergisches e-Bike. There is a regular fee of €20 per rental for returning bikes improperly. This fee does not apply to the first improper return. Please note that in case of repetition, the fee of €20 will apply automatically. You can see the final charges for your rentals in your rental history in your app or in your customer account via the website login.

You can still avoid the fee: Go back to the ebike and rent it again. Do not do this from afar, as the lock will open automatically. The new rental will merge with the old one and the improper return fee will be cleared if you return the bike properly this time.

Which return options are there for Bergisches e-Bike?

E-bikes may not be returned away from official stations within the Bergisches e-Bike area. There is no flexzone! E-cargobikes may only be returned at designated e-cargobike stations. For improper returns, a fee of at least €20 will apply automatically.

At all stations

You can return our e-bikes to any official station within the Bergisches e-Bike area. Some stations are virtual, that means they are marked on the map with large markers but there’s no sign on site. Some stations are equipped with terminal signs. Push the bike into the stand and close the frame lock.

At e-cargobike stations

E-cargobikes may only be returned at designated e-cargobike stations. Use the filter in your app to show all e-cargobike stations.

Unjust fees? What now?

Due to slight GPS deviations, you may be charged a fee for inproper return even though you returned your bike at a station. No problem. Contact our hotline at +49 (0) 30 69205046 or send us a message via app with your registered mobile phone number, respective bike number and a short description of the problem. We will correct the rental.
